Mecanismo de Cooperación Económica Asia-Pacífico

El Subsecretario de Comercio Exterior, Francisco de Rosenzweig, subrayó que la participación de México en cualquier proceso de negociación “es y seguirá siendo, en estrecha vinculación con el sector productivo mexicano”.

El funcionario señaló lo anterior al presentar a la Comisión de Comercio Exterior de la Confederación de Cámaras Industriales de México (Concamin), los avances en los diversos procesos de negociaciones comerciales internacionales de los que México forma parte.

Llamó a los industriales a seguir trabajando de manera conjunta en la agenda comercial en curso, en beneficio de los productores y de la economía mexicana, informó la SE en un comunicado.

En este contexto, Rosenzweig abordó el tema del Acuerdo de Asociación Transpacífica (TPP) y externó la conveniencia de que la Concamin apoye la inclusión de México en este acuerdo comercial por los beneficios e implicaciones estratégicas a favor del país.

Respecto de la Alianza del Pacífico, el subsecretario recordó que en la IV Cumbre de Presidentes, realizada el 6 de junio, en Antofagasta, México, Chile, Perú y Colombia suscribieron el Acuerdo Marco para el establecimiento de la Alianza.

Dicha Alianza es el instrumento jurídico que sienta las bases de esta iniciativa de convergencia e integración regional.

Rosenzweig destacó que México ha alentado nuevos mecanismos que favorezcan el incremento del comercio bilateral con diversos países latinoamericanos.

Ello, a través de la ampliación y profundización del Acuerdo de Complementación Económica ACE 51, con Cuba; para los Acuerdos de Alcance Parcial (AAP) 38, con Paraguay y 29, con Ecuador.

De igual manera, refirió el avance de la negociación de un AAP con Belice.

En otro de los temas, el funcionario federal refrendó la voluntad de negociar, con el apoyo de los sectores productivos, una lista de bienes ambientales que directa y positivamente contribuyan al crecimiento verde y a los objetivos de desarrollo sustentables.

Todo eso, en el marco del Mecanismo de Cooperación Económica Asia-Pacífico (APEC).
